But one day I “met” a book at supermarket (I still love bookstore!) “How to make soft dolls” and bought it, – in case I would be happy to try (because it was my favorite activity in my childhood). Very soon I have met another book, by Olga Tarasova where she explained how to make traditional ukrainian dolls… And I became interested and instantly discovered how enjoyable it was to work with natural materials and to create dolls.
I became more familiar with the world of dolls through the wellknown Ukrainian and European Doll makers. After learning a lot of different techniques from several well-known doll makers I started making customized dolls and I realised that my hand-made hobby tooks most of my time and the number of dolls are increased making the living-room look like a store. Well, not a store yet, but as a small doll studio and my hobby become a small business with me as owner. I participate in creative classes and prepare tutorials for dollmaking. I do not forget that I am a professional business advisor, and I am consentrating not only on production process (crafting) but also on business development (sales&marketing). Today I realised that all by child dreams come true – I am sewing, teaching and selling. Now I do what I so love to do!
